Job Title: Prep Cook
REPORTS TO: Cook/Manager/Owner

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare food products according to the prescribed methods.

Maintain the highest quality of food.

Receive and store all products as prescribed.

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen.
-
Follow all health and safety regulations.
-
Follow all restaurant regulations.
-
Control waste.
-
Communicate problems and ideas for improvement to management.
-
Communicate and work together with co-workers as a team.
-
Arrive on time and ready to work.
-
Attend all meetings.
-
Fill out all forms as prescribed.
-
Maintain all equipment and utensils.
-
Organize all areas of the kitchen.
-
Follow proper rotation procedures.
-
Label and date all products prepared.
-
Follow management’s instructions and suggestions.
-
Perform all other duties as assigned.
CURRENT HOURS EXPECTATIONS:
-
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM 5 days per week minimum (for 40 hours, will need to work Saturday morning 9 AM to 2 PM)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent
WORKING CONDITIONS:
-
High noise levels, hot, must be able to lift 50-plus pounds. Must be able to bend, twist, and remain on your feet for 7+ hours each day.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

18 years or older

High School Diploma or equivalent

Food handlers license
-
Able to take deliveries is a plus but not required (>2 years driving experience, no more than 2 moving violations in last three years, up to date inspection/insurance/drivers license, pass MVR check)
