Mattenga’s closed its doors early on Dec. 11 to celebrate Christmas with some of the hardest working people we know - our fabulous team. It’s rare that we all get together to eat and have fun. Our newest location off of O’Connor joined us for great food, crazy staff competitions and a hilarious White Elephant gift exchange.
The evening began on a boisterous note with some friendly staff competition. We had a timed box folding event, a 12” cheese pizza eating contest and a chance to be a Mattenga’s Super Star by singing the Mattenga’s rap song. It was so much fun watching the staff relax and have fun together. Afterwards, we feasted on our own great Alfredo and Meatball Lasagna followed by homemade cookies and hot chocolate. It gave everyone a chance to talk and get to know each other better, especially the O’Connor location. Finally, the big event, we exchanged White Elephant gifts. We learned that the TEC guys really love Nerf guns and chocolate seemed to be popular this year with it being in at least 60% of the gifts.
We also celebrated work anniversaries that included 2 people that had been there for 4 years, almost since the beginning. Overall, it was a great night with the whole staff present and we’re looking forward to the next one.
