Mattenga’s had a very busy month with many schools wanting a Spirit Night. We were happy to oblige. We hosted 6 Spirit Nights in the month of September.
We love seeing our community come together to support their local schools and especially the kids. Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the food and each other’s company. A special thanks to our staff for making it all run smoothly!
We were honored to donate pizzas to the New Braunfels Elite Wrestling group. Coach Steve Horton is on the left and on the right is Sammy “The Bull” Henson, an Olympic silver medalist.
Paschal Elementary held their Spirit Night at Mattenga’s on Sept. 9th. They had a great turn out and a lot of support from the community.
We donated pizza on Sept. 10th to the Schertz City Council and staff prior to their meeting that evening.
On Sept. 16th, we in conjunction with the Schertz Police Department hosted the 1st annual “Pizza With Police” to benefit the Guadalupe Children’s Advocacy Center.
We donated 30% of the sales from this event ($300) to the Guadalupe Children’s Advocacy Center in Seguin, which provides a warm, homelike environment for children to come when there are allegations of abuse and/or neglect.
On Sept. 17th, we hosted a Spirit Night for the Samuel Clemens HS Band.
Thursday, Sept. 19, our O’Connor location hosted a Spirit Night for Longs Creek Elementary. They had a great time and shared many pictures with us.
On Sept. 24th, Sippel Elementary held their Spirit Night at our restaurant. They had a huge turnout for their first fundraiser with us. It looked like everyone had a wonderful time!
The following evening, Sept. 25th, Bracken UMC Preschool had their Spirit Night at Mattenga’s. Many families gathered to eat and visit with each other.
We were proud to supply food for Cibolo’s “Meet the Candidates” event on Sept. 25th.
Last but not least, we got to host a Spirit Night for Veteran’s Memorial HS Orchestra and Mariachi on Sept. 30th.
