March was a whirlwind—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. At Mattenga’s Pizzeria, we’re not just about making great pizza. We’re about showing up, supporting our neighbors, and celebrating the moments that bring us together. Here’s a quick look at how we made an impact this past month!
Family Day at the Local Autism Center
We kicked off the month with one of our favorite kinds of events—Family Day at a local Autism Center. We brought the pizza, they brought the smiles. Seeing families connect over slices and laughter reminded us why we do what we do. Pizza isn’t just food. It’s a bridge to community.

Inspiring the Next Generation
Our co-founder Hengam visited Clarence Galm Elementary School for Career Day, sharing what it takes to run a business—and how passion and hard work (plus a lot of pizza!) can turn into something amazing. The kids asked great questions, and we might’ve just met some future pizza entrepreneurs.

Ribbon Cutting at Alamo Ranch
We officially cut the ribbon at our newest location in Alamo Ranch! It was a proud moment for Team Mattenga’s and a huge step forward as we continue to grow and serve more of San Antonio. If you’re in the area, come say hi—we’re ready to feed you.

National Ranch Dressing Day
Because we like to keep things saucy—we gave out free ranch on March 10 for every dine-in guest. You showed up, dipped your crusts, and made it a ranch-worthy holiday.

Pi Day on Great Day SA
We got to hang out with the amazing crew at Great Day SA to celebrate Pi Day (3.14, naturally). We talked about what makes our pizza special, shared some slices, and had a blast on air. Huge thanks to the team for the warm welcome!
Pi Day Madness Across All Stores
Speaking of Pi Day, let’s talk numbers—March 14 was our biggest Pi Day ever. Record-breaking sales, happy customers, and nonstop energy. It was pizza chaos in the best way.
First Friday Fun in Garden Ridge
We brought the heat to Garden Ridge’s First Friday event, serving up pies alongside the city and Troop 828 Boy Scouts. There’s something about good food and community vibes that just clicks.
Pizza Expo in Vegas
Team Mattenga’s headed to Las Vegas for the Pizza Expo, where we connected with fellow pizza pros, checked out the latest trends, and came back buzzing with ideas. Always learning, always growing.
March was full of connection, celebration, and of course, pizza. Whether we’re showing up at schools, serving at community events, or just handing you a hot pie with a smile—we’re here for more than just food. We’re here for you.
Thanks for making this month unforgettable. Let’s keep it going.
— Team Mattenga’s 💛
